Dogs just know what to do sometimes, thank you to Bear for laying with me on Nov. 20. I took a diabetic low of 1.9 and went unconscious for 15 minutes. When help arrived I was told that Bear was laying on me. Good job Bear. He was so relaxed when seven fireman and two paramedics stayed with me until I was stable.
Bear is Five months old. During this time a puppy is going to test you, (he is a teenager). Problems are coming up but we are working with the trainer to make sure we correct them the right way. Caroline (his local trainer) is happy with the correction we are doing but these will have to be consistent. We already dealt with a few correction but this is not the final correction. Each one needs to be practiced, practiced and when you are too tired do it again.

As i embark on this new adventure, I continue to realize how much I need to learn. When I was looking into making Bear a CERTIFIED SERVICE DOG one thing that caught my attention was the number of variations of therapy dogs, compassionate care dogs and even working service dogs. However, I”m still curious about is if there is any difference in their rights in Canada. This can be a heated topic from what I understand, but II would love to have a dialogue with others about this. PLEASE be kind if you choose to respond, I’m still new at this.
